Songs For Jacob

Our family has been blessed a hundred-fold since my sons diagnosis of cancer. I have to admit that it was a very rough start, and at times didn’t know how we would get through it all. With Jacob just barely 18, his young mind went somewhere where we couldn’t reach him. Each day was a struggle, no, each moment was a struggle. The nights were an eternity and it seemed time just stopped.

However, we have felt the power of prayer work in our lives. Family, friends and yes, even you, my online students have made a huge impact with heartfelt emails, letters, donations and most of all prayers. Entire congregations, clergy we have never met and people from all over the world has offered their prayers, chants, meditations, and energy in all forms and from all faiths.

We are now experiencing smiles in place of scowls, meaningful conversations in place of being ignored, an uplifted attitude instead of anger and an elevated passion to heal. Jacob has come a long way in terms of accepting this challenge into his life with high spirits. We are very blessed and know without a shadow of a doubt that it is only through the power of prayer that miracles like this can happen.

Here is a message from Jacob – this is my adorable baby boy, I included the bloops because it shows his sweet spirit:

Jacob has a very aggressive treatment plan ahead of him so continued prayers are very much appreciated. In terms of how he is doing physically, he is handling chemo pretty well and eating good. No additional imaging had been ordered yet to see how much the tumor has shrunk. I will keep you posted.

I have put together something new for you called “Songs for Jacob”. I will be releasing, on a monthly basis, a bundle of songs to learn, complete with step by step video and sheet music. The videos will be sufficient enough for those who don’t read music, and will accelerate the learning process of those who do read music.
