How To Use a Blog
Some of you have never used a blog.. So, to help you get started I put together some blog basics:
What is a post? A post is anything that the owner of the blog adds to the blog. (That would be me!) Posts can be questions, information, lessons, videos, anything.
How do you participate? Your participation comes from “commenting” to a “post”. A comment should be related to the post, and can be a question, or added information that you would like to share.
How do you leave a comment? To leave a comment click the little comment link that is above the particular post you are commenting on. (Sometimes there is a comment link on the bottom of the post, but do not use that one, that one is for the next post, so make sure you comment on the comment link above the post you are commenting on.)
When will your comment show up? The first time you make a comment, it will not show up immediately because I have to approve it. However, after I approve you the first time, all your comments will appear immediately without my approval. (I will delete it however, if you post anything inappropriate or not related to the post.)
How do you see my most recent posts?A blog changes all the time. Everytime I post something new, a previous blog post disappears from view and is replaced with the new blog post. To see past posts, you can go to the yellow area on the right side of the page and find where it says: Recent Posts. There you can search by date and find all kinds of goodies!
Ok, ready to practice what I just taught you? Go play around on the blog and post a comment on something. Remember to use the comment link above the post!
