May The Luck of the Irish Be With You – Winners!

Happy St. Patricks Day!

This was a very hard contest to judge…everyone who participated did such a fabulous job and shared some very interesting learning experiences.  The purpose of this contest was to get you thinking about what it is you enjoy about the piano, what you appreciate about the learning experience and to have you use your new skill in a fun interactive way.    With that said, we have two winners, one adult and one child.

And the lucky winners are…..

Comment #16 – From Scott Davis:

Dear Lisa,
I just wanted you to know that I have learned more in the few hours that I have used your method than I have in many attempts before. There’s something about the way you teach that makes sense to me. My eight year old daughter and I have enjoyed this tune together although we are not ready for a recital yet. It has brought us together in a fun and memorable way. Thank you for all you do… Sincerely, Scott Davis

From Lisa:  This comment was special because the learning experience included a memorable bonding experience.  Playing piano is something that can be  shared and cherished as proven in this experience between a father and daughter.  Thank you Scott… this is a good reminder that doing things we love with our loved ones is important.

Comment #63 – From 10 year old, Fleur Delacour

Dear Madame Lisa,

I came from Ireland but I moved to America. I learned English and America’s culture. I’m ten years old. I think music is a beauty! But enough about me…

Your lessons are great. I learned how to play piano just like that! And I didn’t have to waste my money because your lessons are free. I wish I could come to you and give you a nice present. When you taught me that Irish song, I was glad that I’m doing something in my culture. When I get back to Ireland, I’ll teach my relatives and they’ll be happy to!

From Lisa:  Music is universal and can be enjoyed between different cultures.  There is no language barrier when listening to music.  It also instills in us an appreciation for our own culture, as mentioned by Fleur.  Playing and sharing music touches us all in various ways.  Thank you Fleur for sharing your experience.

Below you will find all the comments from this contest, I encourage you to read them! ~smile~
