Does the online piano program provide a way for students to interact with each other?

Peers are powerful learning tools. You might not think of this as an important item when looking for piano lessons, but think again. When learning anything new, it is a powerful tool to be able to interact with students who are going through the same learning process, using the same material, facing the same challenges and enjoying the same progress as you are. Being able to interact also means that you will be able to share your thoughts and ideas with another student. What you have to offer another student stimulates a boost of progress in yourself that cannot be produced in any other learning activity.

There are studies proving that we retain information better when we explain it or share it with someone else. A learning program of any kind, especially piano, should include programs that give students the opportunity to mentor and support each other. This might be in the form of student forums, the ability to upload advice, a blog, ability to share a performance by submitting a video, or even offering a progress page where students can show other students their progress from beginning to end.

Another question closely related to this is:

Does the piano lesson program provide ways for a student to use or showcase their new talent?
