Free Piano Lesson Series Feedback
Thank you for giving my free lesson series a try! I am pleased to be able to help you get started in learning how to play the piano by giving you a good solid start at understanding how music and rhythm is created, and played!
The free lesson series are offered as a way for you to determine for yourself if my lessons will work for you. With so many choices of lessons out there, I feel it is only fair to give you a chance to try out the first part of my course so you can make your own decision on whether or not you feel you can make progress with me as your online piano teacher. Try before you buy is always a safe way to shop! ~
Some questions you might consider asking yourself are:
1. Were the lessons easy to understand?
2. Did I made visible progress using the lessons?
3. If I had questions, did I get my questions answered quickly through email, audio or video?
4. Did I receive good information about learning piano and how to choose a good lesson program?
5. Are these lessons good enough to refer to a friend?
6. Did I enjoy using the lessons?
I would love to read your comments and feedback. Please feel free to leave them below:

I did not know how else to contact you. My out going e-mails aren’t going out. I just want to ask how I print this lessons on paper so I can take them down to my keyboard? I really enjoy these. I have some problems with wrist cramps.
April 21st, 2009 at 12:41 am
Eilajune,
This is a good place to contact me. You can easily print the lesson on paper, they are all in pdf format. Just open them and print them.
Wrist cramps come from tightening your muscles when you are playing. This is normal for beginners, just be aware of it and relax your muscles when you notice you are doing it.
Hope this helps.

Lisa, I started your lessons 7 months ago when I did not have a piano and had a very slow computer. I thought I’d give the lessons another try with a piano and decent computer! I tried Love Me Tender today, and like Mike (in lesson 3) was delighted how I picked it up. Even though I’m 40-something, I still like the hand-holding and your approach obviously works!
I know I can spare 10 minutes each day and hope to continue on with your lessons as a member. Many thanks!

Hello Lisa,
Its great work and your lessons are quiet easy to understand and excellent in imparting knoledge to both beginners and someone who is back after a long gap (like me). I had learned piano in school (20 years ago) and even took the Trinity exams. After a long gap I’m trying to get back to basics and more and your lessons have been very helpful.
June 8th, 2009 at 8:02 am
Hi Lisa,
I found your lessons very helpful. I haven’t played the piano in many years, but wanted too, and your lessons were a great refresher. They were also a great new way to learn to play music. Thanks for the lessons!

Hi Lisa thanks for ur lessons and i enjoyed them so far. But i have problems playing the C chord. My #2 finger on my left hand will go pointing upwards naturally of my 4th finger will press the notes automatically.. how should i overcome this?
June 25th, 2009 at 1:36 pm
Hi Mrs.Lisa! I enjoy learning piano with you.But I wish we could see each other face to face.I could send a picture to you.If I can.I have two questions for you Mrs.Lisa.When did you start playing the piano? And was it hard for you?Write back to me when you can.Thank you for what you have taught me.God bless you and your husband.
June 26th, 2009 at 7:35 pm
To Eniola:
I started playing when I was 5 years old. My mom started my in piano lessons with a neighbor. I took to piano naturally, but of course as a kid I did not like to practice, and I did not like to count out loud and I did not like to use the correct fingers! ~smile~ I had to correct a lot of bad habits when I got older and realized I wasn’t playing as well as I would like to because of rhythm and fingering problems.
June 26th, 2009 at 7:37 pm
To Aaron:
I understand about your left hand fingers want to do things you didn’t ask them to do! That is normal and everyone goes through it. Make a concentrated effort to make your muscles do what you want them to do, and soon, very soon, you will see that they will learn to obey!
June 26th, 2009 at 7:38 pm
To Mag:
I don’t have the sheet music for Heart and Soul… it is provided as a fun exercise to help with coordination and rhythm. Enjoy it!
July 4th, 2009 at 1:47 pm
Dear Miss Lisa,
First off thank you so much for taking the time and being so sincere “real”. So many places and people now days
do not feel they can be themselves in any given situation whether it be teaching or learning. You gave me a very personal feeling just in the free lessons alone, which by the way were wonderful! In two days I was able to finish them and understand a hundred times more then what i have gathered in a week searching online for resources and programs. This time i prayed and clicked search and you came up #1 so thank you lord Jesus! Lisa You are a blessing keep up the good work:)
July 9th, 2009 at 2:06 pm

Best wishes,
Arun

The best way to remember is to keep your keyboard or piano open, and in a place where you can see it every day. You can also make yourself a sign in book that you keep at the piano so you can keep track of how often you practice.

Hi, Ms. Lisa:
Your free lessons are simple enough and thorough to where even small children can understand. They’re also fun to learn! I am just so lucky to learn the step-by-step lessons. Thank you for taking the time and effort to put these lessons together for your students. After coming out from the hospital, two years ago, it’s all coming back to me. It is also a good therapy for my mind and body after suffering a minor stroke. I will definitely recommend this website to anybody who has determination and motivation to play. It’s not only a classic, but it’s something that’s ALWAYS THERE as a reminder that lingers on….no matter where you go, whatever you do. As long as you put your heart and mind to it, you can play from simple or just about any songs you’ll hear. It’s like an education that once you’ve earned it, NO ONE can take away from you. A music instrument that will never go obsolete, it will stay FOREVER!!!
Thank you and God Bless you and your family!

Oh My GOSH!!! You have no idea how helpful your lessons have been. Only by taking the free lessons, I have learned to read music and best of all, be able to play the piano and understand and appreciate what I am playing. In fact, I have actually started to add my own little remix to songs because I actually know what sharps and flats are and where they are. I now also know how to create major and minor chords. All I can say is amazingly helpful is an understatement for your extraordinary lessons. I can not thank you enough!
July 29th, 2009 at 5:22 pm
Dear Lisa,Im sorry I have taken so long to answer you. I just saw the email you sent me. I enjoy playing the piano and singing all the songs I do. I even write my own songs. I have written several. I didnt learn much from piano lessons. I learned pretty much by ear. But what i did learn from them has been very helpful. I love to play the piano.
July 29th, 2009 at 11:18 pm
Hi Lisa,

I pray that you and your family will still continuing helping us. a really bunch Thank you Po. May God Bless & manifold His blessings to you & your Family.

Hi Lisa,
First of all I would to thank you for everything you have done to me. Although I was not a subscriber of any lessons you offer to me, but yet you sent me a simple finger positioning technique and some helpful notes, its helps me a lot. I’m 60 years old and I’m playing keyboard for almost 5 years but my problem is how to position my fingers in a standard way of playing. I have no formal schooling of how to play keyboard but I learned playing it by self-study and with your help now I can……
Some says “that an old dog can learn no more” but this is no true in my situation and I revise saying “that an old dog can still be learned everything”. Thanks for your help coz of my improvement. Yes, I love music and I love playing a keyboard but sometimes I’m disappointed because I have no improvement at all but with your help I change my mind and I try follow the standard way of playing.
I’m so sorry for not subscribing anything you offer to me coz of financial problem maybe sometimes.
Thanks & regards,
Bing

Hi Lisa,
Sorry for the long silence on your free piano lesson.
I am 55 and have never had any try on the key board until last year when I saw your website. To be honest with you I can now read the music and play very well with either my right hand or my left hand but finds it very difficult to play with both hands at the same time. Thanks a lot for your wonderful help.

Dear Lisa, I have been receiving all your lessons snd looking at them a bit with the hope of studying them but I don’t have a keyboard yet. It is something I am hoping to get soon. In my childhood we had and I played by ear and not chords at all and my knowledge of reading is limited because of no practise. I have to travel 150km to get a keyboard so it may be another month but then I will start. I hope you keep me on the free list because I’m just about ready to start.
I just thought I will be truthful and tell you seeing as how you asked.
Thanks for the help. It seems quite good and once I get started I will give more feedback.

Lisa…I just wanted to tell you how glad I am that I found your website! Within a couple days, I am already on the last lesson. WOW - it went fast! I want so badly for the sounds my hands make on the piano to match the music that plays from my soul, with the same passion I feel it. I never really thought I had much coordination for playing - the left hand work scares me a little but your first few lessons have inspired me. I hope I am able to continue with your lessons. I really have enjoyed the free lessons; easy to understand and allows me to work at my own pace. You have such a great heart! I look forward to further lessons! One suggestion - would love it if you had audio of you playing so we can hear what real piano playing sounds like! (o:

Hi Lisa
I’ve justed lessons with you and i’m feeling great. I’m too proud of you. I hope to be the best piano player with my best teacher Lisa.
August 8th, 2009 at 11:47 am
i just started the lessons, and so far your tips are really working. i took piano lessons a while ago, and i have been singing ever since i could talk. so i sorta know how to read music already, but to actually play it on the piano it would take me at least 20 seconds to find each note haha and obviously that isn’t good when you’re trying to play a song. but i’m really happy with the first 4 lessons and they are so helpful, and you’re so encouraging.
i’m looking forward to the rest of the lessons.
August 13th, 2009 at 3:51 am

Dear Lisa,
Your piano lessons have given me a good start. I thought it was hard to learn, but you have made it very easy. Thank you very much and I will continue to learn and play!
August 14th, 2009 at 1:18 am
Hi Lisa, I need to get back to studying again. I have enjoyed the lessons I’ve done so far and your teaching method is thorough and easy to understand. My fingers are a little stiff, but with practice, that should improve. I’ve been on the run a lot the past few months and have let my practice go. I haven’t figured out how to send you a practice yet. I guess I need to study that more. I hadn’t realized all the places we can interact. I was just practicing on my own. I’ll do better from now on. Thanks for the wonderful classes and being a ” lifetime member” will have access for years to come. I’ve also recommended your course to some friends so hope they did it, too.
August 14th, 2009 at 1:20 am
Lisa,
Your lessons make it almost impossible not to learn especially the very beginning lessons. Also,I like the way you use several different methods ,e.g. Print, video, audio. If I don’t get it one way I get it another. Thank you
August 14th, 2009 at 1:54 am
Hi Lisa,
You’ve de-mystified the keyboard for me and have given me material and a system that’s easy to understand. I couldn’t recommend you and your system more, thank you! My progress, however, has been slow only because of health reasons. But even with limited practice time, my progress has been better than anticipated. Keep up the good work….

Hello Lisa,
but I want to learn more familiar songs.
I am also the member of learnpianoonline. Its under my Husbands name “Sachin”.
I do enjoy your lessons and I am learning quickly too. My only problem is I dont know the songs, I mean the tunes and words of the songs you have in the membership area eg.Bonus Songs. I am an Indian, and I want to learn the songs that I know eg.Bollywood(Indian Cinema) songs. But unfortunately in our membership area there are no Music notes of any of the songs that are familiar to me. So all my basics are clear, I want to play the songs as well but those which I know. I dont know if you can help in this but your suggestions are very welcome. But your lessons helped me a lot, all my basics are clear, I can play mary had little lamb with both the hands
Many Thanks
Saloni

Hi Lisa, I am really happy with the lessons. You make the lessons so easy to understand. Still got some way to go, but I know that I will get there. When, in the past I have had a small problem with my lessons you have been there to help. I like the look of you web site. I have also recommended you to other’s who also would like to learn the piano.
All the best Lisa.
August 14th, 2009 at 4:06 am
Hi Lisa, I enjoy you lessons and I have no problem in understanding them. Right now I am concentrating on
playing the song “What a friend we have in Jesus” coz it has been my favourite since childhood. Still having crumsy fingers but I hope I can play it smoothly in time to come. I am not going to give up. Thanks a lot.
August 14th, 2009 at 4:13 am
I love my lessons, and even though they were easy to follow it was hard for me to get the habit to follow them; I met the system and I fell in love right in the first instant, they are easy to follow and to understand and everything is prepared for getting to play very well, I have already performed for small groups and family and they have not run away, good sign, isn’t it? On the other hand Lisa is opened for questions and hard problems solution and she is always willing to help…I am happy with the system and I recomend it, did I tell you I am from Chile and 58 years old? I had never sat in front of a piano before and I learned in about a year, it took me longer than usual but I did learn. Thanks Lisa!!!

Good Morning Lisa:
So with your little reminders, and my husbands’ gentle nudge, I must get back to playing daily. I truly enjoy my keyboard and am feeling more confident. I am on lesson #8 and enjoy having my laptop computer beside me to follow along with your instructions on-line. Thank you a million times over for making my dream to play piano come come true!
Once again I’d like to thank you for the wonderful music lessons. I must admit, I have been a bit slack this summer, my husband even told me yesterday he hasn’t heard me playing for a while
p.s. I followed your trip up to Alaska and thoroughly enjoyed you and your family’s blogs..

Lisa,
It’s my son, AJ, that actually takes the lessons. When he started he was very eager and absorbed a lot of information. He was playing very known tunes and was able to retain what he was learning. He also has a passion for the guitar so he now splits his time between both. However I truly feel his piano lessons and practices has made him a much better guitarist and I thank you for that.

Dear Lisa
I tried several online piano lessons, but yours was the easiest to understand, and I made great progress when I put in the time to practice. Thank you for making my desire to learn to read music and play the piano a reality

I love your lessons they are very easy to understandand and very helpful at every stage .I have to only find more time to practice.
Thank you Lisa

Dear Lisa,
I’m a retred 84 yr old lawyer.
Your method has been a godsend for learning piano on one’s own. The approach you take is not only fun but addictively challenging. That, coupled with your frequent remenders and encouragement, helps to make and keep one aware of the discipline and dedication that is required. I have, and will continue to recommend your http://www.PianoOnLine.com at every opportunity
More videos would be helpful, , particularly in Lessons 8 and 9. But I know, and feel comfortable that you will promptly assist me if requested. I don’t know how you find the time but I know you will do it somehow.
I’m now on “Sleep, My Love” in Lessorn 9. As I near the end of your course, I wish you would consider extending it to another level
Thanks also for including your students in your family trek to Alaska. That, of course, was personal. So to be included, made us feel like one of the family. I also must mention the contributions of your family in producing your Lessons and to Jacob and Jasmine for their efforts in showing the rest of us how it is done.
All in all, you have an unique product and your enthusiasm in selling it to the world is most appreciated.
May your website and teaching continue to grow and prosper.

Hi Lisa I am so happy to be able to share my experience using your online piano lessons, I was able to get the very basic using your free online lessons, and was so encouraged to continue, I am finishing lesson #7 and thoroughly enjoy each lesson, I have checked other online lessons and none compare with what your offering Lisa..you are so caring about our needs..lessons are very clear and complete, making sure that we do follow necessary steps, when I was away for a few days you found it fit to leave me a nudge to keep practicing,,who else would have missed me not being on..bravo Lisa..I have recommended this online course to my friends….my aunt is a music teacher and she agrees the best she is aware of for sure…so simple yet, complete..I am very happy with my progress…wanted to be able to play all my life …now on my way thanks to you…May God Bless You…..

I love my online piano lessons! I am an urban high school art teacher and my schedule fluctuates between busy, crazy busy, and insanely busy. This means that my best intentions to practice every day are not always realized. With learnpianoonline.com it doesn’t matter–I get to go at my own pace and the lessons are always waiting for me. When I was a little girl I actually had a piano teacher who would smack my fingers on the piano keyboard when she could tell I had not been practicing–Lisa never smacks my fingers! In fact, she never scolds at all. She’s always there encouraging, reminding, and picking up wherever we left off, no matter how long it has been. I am extremely happy with this method of delivery for my lessons. Thanks, Lisa!

HI LISA: THE LESSONS I HAVE RECEIVED ARE ALL FINE AND OF WHICH WITH MY LIMITED TIME HAVE BEEN PRACTICING. I CONSIDER WONDERFUL YOUR PIANO LESSONS WHICH ARE ENABLEING ME TO FEEL OUT SOME SONGS APART FROM THOSE YOU SENT ME.CONGRATULATION. YOU ARE A GREAT TEACHER AND PERSON.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

Hi Lisa,
I always had a perception that playing piano is hard as we have to concentrate on too many things at the same time (reading too many notes, fingering on both hands) compared to playing some other instrument like violin. However, as my son started piano lessons with a personal teacher, I wanted to give it a try with some online courses. To my surprise, your first free lessons were quite easily taught and I decided to continue. The credit goes to the simplicity and completeness of content and selection of songs which boost ones confidence in playing piano. The lessons are quite interesting and like most of us, I got stuck in frolicking for some time. Hopefully I would be able to cope up with the remaining lessons. Big thanks to you. Now I have the confidence that I can say that I play piano to some extent and can play a couple of songs for family and friends. I never thought that I could learn so much with out a personal one-to-one teacher. Again thanks and please keep up the good work.

We use your piano curricula to help teach four of our grandsons, and they really enjoy it!
We so much enjoy seeing their progress, reflected in their thoughts, expressions, and coordination when advancing in lesson details and performing the songs.
The discipline they develop also helps them in playing sports, and we see it too in their concentration while learning about the outdoors when we go hiking with them and our children.
Thank you Lisa and your husband. We are so blessed!

Hi Lisa,
As I mentioned before, your music curriculum is the best I’ve ever used. My students are doing exceptionally well. I particulary like the way the music notes are automatically learned, and not the traditional method of learning the 5 lines and four spaces. I also like your website. It is filled with so many resources that help with teaching music lessons and answering questions about challenges I may face. By the way 3 of my grandchildren are getting ready to go into Lesson 11. I love to hear them play Distant Bells, Etude, and Grogans Goat, from Lesson 10. Do you have any other supplemental music I can present them with? Keep up the great work, and thanks again.

Lisa,
We use Piano Online for part of our homeschool. I have 3 children, ages 15, 13, and 7. They are learning very nicely. My 15yr old is on Lesson 6 and my 13yr old is on lesson 7; my 7 year old on lesson 5 and she just started 3-4 months ago. Your lessons are much easier to use than traditional piano lessons. The children enjoy it and I try to keep practice short — 10 min.– and they make such great progress! Your site is just a tremendous blessing! Thank you.

your help in piano cannot be easily described because you are doing something tha many people cannot manage may God bless you
August 14th, 2009 at 9:09 am
I have only positive comments. From the minute I started your lessons, knowing absolutely nothing what-so-ever about playing the piano I was able to learn! Your lessons are wonderful and able to keep ones attention. The fact that you are now providing Christmas songs is extremely exciting. Also have enjoy watching the videos and viewing the pictures of your Alaska vacation.

Hi Lisa, I was so excited to find your website! I had always wanted to be able to read music and play the piano. Once I printed some of the lessons, I went out and purchased a keyboard to start learning on. I eventually purchased your lesson plan online and though it has been hard to find the time lately, I am on lesson 6 and really enjoy being able to play while reading the music (without looking at my fingers). The lessons are easy to understand and your support is awesome! I have shared your info with a co-worker who would also like to learn to play piano. Thank you so much!
August 14th, 2009 at 9:14 am
Website is great. Lessons are going ok but that’s no fault of yours. Practice makes perfect and I’m far from it.
August 14th, 2009 at 9:20 am
Hello, Lisa.
Thanks a lot for your help. Your lessons easy to understand. I can get the questions answered quickly through email. I very enjoy using the lessons. I like the lessons with audio and video as a support. I hope to learn more from your lessons. Now I going to learn lesson 10. After lesson 12 any lesson ? ?

Hi Lisa,
I love the way your lessons are set up. They have made it easy for me to teach myself a skill that I would never of dreamed of learning before.
One thing that I would love to see is more current/pop/soft rock kinds of songs. I benefit from knowing the lyrics and song in my head when I am trying to learn. Also, it would just be more fun and rewarding to me to learn some popular songs. I have mostly taught myself to play Lean On Me, and this was completely due to what I have learned through you lessons.
Thank you for helping me discover a new passion.
August 14th, 2009 at 10:10 am
Hi Lisa,
yes, the Free Lessons were easy and fun to follow. The method actually helps getting aquainted with music notation (something I didn’t manage before, despite my previous attempts). That’s the main reason why I decided to subscribe. The other reason is the availability of audio/video support to the lessons.
Thank you

Hello Lisa
Thank you for your email this morning, I find your lessons very easy to understand and the support from the web site videos and audio extremely usefull.
I am 77 years and am slow going - I started on 28th December 2008 and am starting lesson 8 I don’t know if that is about right or not? I practice every day sometimes for an hour, but my progress seems slow to me, concentration might be a problem and keeping time counting and remembering notes sometimes does just not “click”. But all in all I am enjoying the experience after all it started as a hobby for the winter months but now I am hooked and want to play “properly”
I have always wanted to be able to play I started when I was young but the war stopped my lessons and I have only just got back to it.
Thankyou for a brilliant programme.
Irene
And yes when I feel confidant I will send you a recording

Lisa,
1. Were the lessons easy to understand? Yes, I found the instructions very easy to follow and I felt that factor helped me to progress very quickly. I am currently working on lesson 6. Each lesson takes more and more practice time. I also go back and review songs in previous lessons.
2. Did I make visible progress using the lessons? Yes, the noticeable improvement spurs me on to work harder and more consistently.
3. If I had questions, did I get my questions answered quickly through email, audio or video? I haven’t had any burning questions though I was wondering why you haven’t suggested using a metronome which I find much more consistent and accurate than my counting out loud.
4. Did I receive good information about learning piano and how to choose a good lesson program? I am very pleased with the lessons so far. I have little experience and knowledge about piano so I have no other programs with which to compare this one.
5. Are these lessons good enough to refer to a friend? I would recommend this program to a friend based on the satisfying experience that I have had so far.
6. Did I enjoy using the lessons? Yes, I enjoy the lessons and look forward to them. A friend commented that I would probably reach a point where I would plateau, my progress would stop, and I would get stuck. That hasn’t happened yet because the lessons are structured well and you are constantly encouraging us. Doing them at my own pace lessens the performance anxiety and stress. However, having someone periodically check my work would be helpful.
Thank you for this wonderful piano program, Lisa.

Hi Teacher LISA First and foremost I would like to thank God for your life for being a very good and patient teacher.Of course my answer to all the questions is a big YES and it is an honest answer from the bottom of my heart.Thakyou too for sharing us your talent willingly and patiently.Being a working mom and my age its difficult for me to practise daily but with your follow up emails you encourage me to go back to my keyboard again.Im still in Lesson 7 at this time but i am learning although its very slow i guess but am moving on.Your lessons are great and easy to understand again thanks and God bless.
August 14th, 2009 at 11:33 am
Hi Lisa,
Honestly I have not been able to be consistant with my lessons due to my busy life with my autistic son. But I can tell you what I have the most trouble with. I can read music fairly well but mostly I play by ear. Once I learn how peice sounds, then I just play it. My biggest problem is getting the piece to play smoothly. It seems choppy with hesitations. I have tried using my metranome to help keep me on the beat but it seems to only confuse me more. How can I get passed this?
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share, Sincerely, Laura

Hello again,
I wasn’t quite ready to submit that last reply so I will give it another try . The other problem I have is playing around other people. I just freeze up. I can’t concentrate and I forget what I am doing, lose my place and just stop. I would like to be able to show my progress on your on line video but I am too shy. What can I do? I been playing with my headphones on so I wont feel nervous and I can relax with my practicing. People have asked me to play but I decline every time. Thanks again, Laura

Thank you for the excellent piano course. I have tried a couple of others and yours is the one I would recommend to anyone. The way the lessons are planned out and presented are top quality.

It has been very exciting for me to have found your site and been able to learn the play the piano in the last few months I found it very easy to use and the instructions are grand. Easy to follow and with a lot of practice easy to learn. I have completed the twelve lessons and have purchased two books I am looking forward to learning to play. Right now I am going to concentrate on the Christmas music so i can surprise a few on Christmas day. Thank you Lisa I have enjoyed it all.

Lisa,
Thank you for all the emails and the time you put into the lessons. I have unfortunately been unable to practise my lesson for almost two years now. My life has been full of challenges that I have to over come before I get back to my piano lessons, but I will for sure. I can see the light at the end of the end tunnel. I’m hoping in another month or so, I might be able to get back to it again. I know I might have to start from the beginning, but that should be just fine. I know I can pick up the pace quickly with with your lesson because they are easy to follow. I was about to start level seven when I had to leave it. I’m looking forward to getting back to it.
Thank you again!

Lisa,
I had looked for a way to learn how to play piano for a very long time and never have I had the chance you gave me with easy to understand lessons. I am a slow learner in addition to sin by procrastination but, thanks to the lessons, I do make improvements.
I will never be a Liberace, Art Tatum or Frederic Chopin but I hope to, someday, be able to entertain some friends. Thank you so much

Hi Lisa,
I started your lessons in Feb 2007 and am still hoping to play “Spanish Dance” in Lesson 7. I know I am slow because of so many interruptions - either camping or travelling or just plain whole work, work and more work. I am so happy that I can read music and play, although I cannot play anything with flats and sharps as yet. I can play 3 songs now “Nearer My God to Thee”, “O Lord My God” and “Brahm’s Lullabye”. I just hope my counting and rhythm and chords are all co-ordinating.. but all in all, I want to say that, if it wasn’t for your lessons, I would have had a keyboard collecting dust, like it did for many years. I just couldn’t understand any other lessons, they were - like teaching a kid to spell without even teaching the alphabets first.. but your lessons are so easily explained, anybody who can read, will be able to follow it. I keep telling everyone I meet to do your lessons.. Just one thing; if its not already there, from Lesson 7 onwards, if we can have both audio as well as video with explanations, it will be great - this is when practically a lot of us start fumbling as to the intervals and timings.. :{
Also, if we can submit some songs that we played and if you can comment on where we went wrong, it will help. I can see that you have a lot of students and it will be virtually impossible to listen and correct each one’s mistake. But, maybe if a few are corrected, everybody else can notice the correction! Just a suggestion!!!
Thanks
Freeda

Well, am really a big fun in terms of your approach to teaching piano. Although proper learning also depends on putting respective interests among your students I honestly say that patience as a piano teacher inspired a lot. I saw your son plays and he’s great too, in my case,… as I said before I am really that lazy to practice but even though it’s my own attitude not to learn that much, I can play now and some of my friend says am a good player though I can not accept it coz I really am not.

Hi Lisa
Thanks for the great piano course.
I have tried to play piano for years and finally found a lesson plan that is working. I have gone from memorizing music before being able to play a song to being able to read it to play. I’m not fast yet but I now need the music to play. I am also looking at the music while playing and not my hands.
I also like the additional songs I can download and learn. The audio also helps when I’m having problems a song I am not familiar with.
Thanks
Ron

I’ve tried learning piano previously from live instructors and books. I never could make any progress until now. The way your lessons are structured and the simplicity has allowed me to further than I ever have before.
Thank You!

Lisa,
I am glad, it was my own initiative that I found your website in Mac 2008 and had free 100 pages free lessons. After that free lessons passed a month, I became a paid lifemember until today. I am your student now entering 1 year 5 months. I am glad you are my online piano teacher. Your lessons are very easy to learn/understand and I picked up fast. I had improved tremendously. I was really amazed with my progress. Wow, I can now read music and play piano within a short period. How very happy I was.You made it happen. Currently I am working on Lesson 9. In between my lesson, I revised playing songs that I had already played. Also I play new supporting songs. I had been working on songs like Canon In C, The First Noel(2 versions), Jesu Man’s Desiring, Up On The Housetop, Nearer My God To Thee, How Great Thou Art, Oh Susana, Michael Row The Boat Ashore, Deck The Hall, The Mexican Dance, Auld Lang Syne. I never fail NOT to practice daily eversince I took up the lessons. Infact I always look forward to sitting infront of a piano playing songs which is fun and thrilled. I enjoyed every minute and every second playing the piano.-smile- My younger sister once told me, my neighbours like to hear me play. They were asking her where I learn. She told them, I self taught. -smile- Once again I thank you Lisa for being my online piano teacher. I am proud to be your student and vice versa proud you are my online piano teacher. Frankly, you are a great, wonderful, hardworking teacher who always keep in touch with students, and update us occasionally with your emails. You care alot about your students. Unfortunately due to my many outside activities, I was unable to take part in the Students Forum and to report my weekly progress. Not to worry though, I had been practising daily. Many a time I had tried to do my songs recording but failed again. Due to fatigue. It’s long overdue that I had not send my recordings over. Hmm..maybe I’ll try hard this time around. I will not give up my piano eventhough, the higher I go, it’s getting more and more challenging. Keep up the good work, Lisa. May your website stands like a rock and have students increasing in numbers. I like and love your website. Yes, it is highly recommened to friends.
Good Luck and Regards

I found the lessons easy to follow and it was a very good way to pick up piano on my own without formal lessons. I found the choice of music good, not too childish or dull. I am even using the first few lessons to teach my 5 year old daughter a little about music.
I especially like the provision of the “Canon in D” score which is the type of music I like. I cannot practise unless I like what I am playing.
I downloaded all the lessons but have not completed all of them yet. After a while I downloaded other music from the net and bought several music books online with pieces Iike and I have been playing those. I plan to complete the lessons some time. I may have picked up some bad habits and have to unlearn them, but the main thing for me is keeping the interest alive.
I would definitely recommend the lessons to others if they are interested. I did not have time to read the blog but I found some of the recommendations interesting, like the Facebook game on identifying notes. Do keep up the good work.
August 16th, 2009 at 7:23 am
I am almost completing lesson # 7 and am quite happy the way it is going. I am not using the extra tips that you provide on websites as I get confused and just prefer to follow the lessons page by page. I practice every about 20 minutes and its fun!
August 16th, 2009 at 9:11 am
When I first started piano I knew nothing. But after a few lessons I was playing simple songs! All the lessons were very simple and easy to understand! Good work!!

Hi Lisa,
I am replying to your e-mail and would like you to know that you have helped my dream come true, I can now read music and play with both hands. I just finished lesson 8 and the lessons are 100 percent satisfactory. I enjoy playing the keyboard. I can make different sounds when I am playing. The lessons are easy to follow and when I have a problem I can use the site for audio help which is also nice. I want you to know that you have helped me to achieve this goal. Thank you and I like your method of teaching.

hm what i really liked about ur lessons was that you actually teach how to read and recognise the notes on a music sheet because learning note counts and so on is all very well but you become very stuck if u cant use any of it becuase your ability to read notes is very basic, also i like how visually the lessons are intresting u dnt dread seeing a whole black and white page with confusing notes and text …
so thank you

Lisa,
Your online music lessons are very good for anybody that wants to learn how to play piano. The lessons are very easy to understand as long as one follows the rules and spent time on it. In other words they lessons are user friendly.
I recoment this online piano to anybody that wants to learn how to play piano. Thanks and good luck.

Hello Lisa,
I find the lessons easy to understand and I already did progress. In fact I’m doing progress every day, its an interesting method to learn, doing a little each day at your own pace.
I emailed you once because I was having problems to connect myself to the website and you answered me right away
I recommend your website to everyone.
I would like to develop more but I don’t find my words,
as I’m not fluent in english.
So I’ll just say : Good Job
and thank you

Lisa,
I am learning a great deal from your lessons. They are great!
Thanks very much.
August 16th, 2009 at 7:55 pm
Absolutely wonderful, thank you. The day will come when I can actually focus and finish them all. It is still my 2009 resolution so that I can start lessons. Thanks
August 16th, 2009 at 7:57 pm
Lisa,
I was very impressed by your free lessons because I couldn’t believe I was actually able to play the piano at the ripe old age of 45. They were great for my self confidence to attempt other new things. I have since joined your membership lessons and am equally pleased with them as well. It was money well spent and worth much more to me than what it cost. I am amazed at how much my fingers remember from lesson to lesson and day by day with regular practice!
August 16th, 2009 at 10:42 pm
Lisa,
your students have said it all. you are indeed a piano “evangelist” - someone who is passionate about spreading the joys of playing the piano. am still working my way through dysfunctional fingers who seem to have a mind of their own most times but the lessons, the reminders, the sheets, are tools that i have learned to depend a lot on.
thanks.

Lise, I love your lessons, however, I have had so many obsticles. My parents passed away and my niece has not had anyone to care for her. She will be in school starting Aug. 24, and I am excited about finally continuing your lessons. I have gone thru several of the lessons before my parents passed away, and the lessons where wonderful. Thank you very much for this opportunity to learn what I have always wanted to have in my life, to play the piano. You are a blessing to many.

Hi, Lisa
Yes, i thank you very much for your invitation for me to get connect with you once again
I am fine but just quite busy with some meetings every weekend, and also, housekeeping work. However, i do take my time to practise your pieces, just that momentum is very very slow because of my daily commitment. I am looking for a job in the meantime and is daily searching for doors opening
I seen your web piano fingers training lessons and i thought this is good as i am also trying to figure how to use both hand to coordinate and to play chords and lyrics at the same time though not very sure if i done correctly
The extra video comes in with a very satisfying concept that you actually know how we, as new piano players, needed to be advised very much in this area.
Thank you so much, i learn the flow in according to your teaching on the video, as well as Andrew’s pieces too. However, i am concentrating more on your ways of instruction since you are my teacher and my first trainer via internet.
All is fine. I am still at the beginning levels, still practising whenever i have a time. I will make sure I am a good student of yours and will not skip my lessons with you on the Web ;-))
Lastly, may the Lord Jesus bless you a wonderful trip for you are a great trainer to all of us here.
God bless you & all at home!
Blessings & Love,
from : Serena, Singapore

Hi Lisa,
Your lessons have been a wonderful way for people like me to get their initial introduction into the world of music, in general, and, more specifically, the piano. As you may know, my niece took piano lessons from a live teacher, and my niece explained to me that a good way to sit at the piano is on the front of the bench, not all over it as I was doing. She’s also showed me how to properly hold your fingers (in a more bent position and not straight-fingered, as I have been doing). You may want to add small, but significant items such as this to your lessons. Then again, after saying this, you may already have these tips somewhere in your lesson books, or on-line lessons, and I simply overlooked them or totally forgot about them completely (as you know, guys are experts at this)! Keep up the good work you’re doing for all of your worldwide students. Your lessons have been a real joy.

Hi Lisa,
I have always wanted to play piano. I decided to take your online lesson in February 2009 after my boyfriend who has been playing since childhood , taught me how to move my fingers on the piano (crossovers) and the scales. I took it from there with your help. He is amazed at how fast I have learned to read notes and I play songs for him on the phone almost daily!! I love your little notes you send. I tell everyone about your online lessons and they cannot believe it is possible to learn to play the piano from the internet. I am living proof it is possible. I am still so excited to learn more. The piano is so relaxing . I come home after a busy day at work and I look forward to my next lesson. Hearing the music coming from my hands gives me a sense of peace and relaxation, I am thouroughly enjoying it. Thank you, Thank you , Thank you Lisa!!

Hi Lisa,
Learning to play piano has been my dream. You have made my dream come true! If I had not googled learning piano on line, I would have not found the best piano teacher.
I am very happy with your lessons. I have nearly finished Level 2(lesson 6).
Thank you for your excellent teaching! Your website is the best.
Best regards

Hi lisa,
Sorry about my loud silence. Here are my comments.
It has always been my dream to play a musical instrument. I purchased your course in december /08,bought an electronic organ in May 09 and started my training in June /09.I am enjoying the lessons so far.
Your curriclum is a thorough, step by step, well structured and user friendly one , and I am making great progress. As a teacher I find that you are, competent and professional, concerned and supportive ,and I am happy that I chose you.~smile~
I am at lesson five completing my biggest challenge so far ‘Perfect Practice. ‘I am yet to play this piece smoothly. My first goal is to competently play ‘You are always on my mind’ by willie nelson. Will love to hear your version on audio.I learned ‘The first noel’- looking foward to the other xmas carols.
Wishing you continued courage and success
Your lifetime student

Dear Lisa,
Yes I like you program a lot. I am teaching my children to play and have looked at other piano programs. Yours gets down to basics and goes slow enough to ingrain both the understanding and skills to progress.
Thank you!
August 18th, 2009 at 9:08 pm
I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoy your lessons. I never dreamed I could ever lean to play the piano. My family could not believe it either. I unfortunately had a setback last year with two major surgeries, but am back playing and am now on lesson six. I love the video part, it helps with my counting. Your lessons are so easy to follow. Thank you so much. You are awesome….

Hi Lisa,
Thank you for your ongoing support and constant nudging to keep us all in there. This is a fantastic website, and it is so wonderful to get through the lessons and look back to when one first dreamed, started the journey, the frustrations, the overwhelming pleasure of getting it right and listening to the music coming from my fingers. Alone, trying to play is difficult but the audio’s and videos keep me on the footpath. When the going gets tough, i fun around with the bonus songs to cheer me, likewise go back to basics and do the exercises. I am still on Lesson 7, frollicking and cussing, but know that practice and more practice will see me thru. So, thanks Lisa, for sharing my dream, allowing me to share your family holiday dream, and cheering on the two childrens dream..
Have a Blessed week.

I got stuck with the Irish tune, I was not happy with my efforts.I decided at the time that I would not go to a new lesson until I have mastered the piece with no mistakes.
I am almost there, and see nothing wrong with your lesson plans. You get out what you put in, and I practice only 10 minutes per day. I thank you for your support.

Lisa,
I believe this is an EXCELLENT teaching tool you have here! I don’t have time for formal instruction, so a self-paced learning platform is perfect for my needs.
I’ve tried many other programs, learning little bits here and there but usually leaving bored and not really learning, if you know what I mean. I’ve even gone as far as buying a 6CD learning set, but finished it feeling… lacking for want of a better word.
I’ve been using your methods and have been advancing quite enjoyably. I like the occasional easy-play songs, to really get the feel of accomplishment, and although that’s not learning to play, but learning to play a song, I relate what I’ve learned in the past and end up using just the sheet music - adding one more to my list of playable, enjoyable songs.
While I’m only about half way through your entire plan, I find it comforting and enjoyable. When I (gasp!) miss practice for a spell, it’s easy to go back and review what I was leaning and continue forward.
If it takes me another year to finish the plan, I know I’ll enjoy every moment and I’ll be sorry to be “turned loose” at the end!
In my opinion, this was well worth every penny, more than I can say for the other programs I’ve tried!
If anyone wants more feedback from a rookie piano player, feel free to give them my email.
Thanks Lisa!

Love the lessons and the web site. You have managed to break everything down into small enough bites for the likes of me who has never succeeded in reading music or playing an instrument in all my 66 years. Only goal I have is to enjoy the experience & I am achieving that at all times (now starting level 7). When I manage to play to my satisfaction I smile - reward enough!
What a lovely family you have & thank you for sharing them & your wondeful holiday with all of us. Take care

Lisa, I love your website! It has always been a dream of mine to play piano. As a child, my parents could not afford lessons and once an adult, a job and children consumed all my time. Although I am still very busy at work, I am finally at a point in my life where I can pursue my dream. I could not read a stitch of music and had no clue what key was what on a piano.
I went out and purchased an electronic key board and an “Adult All-in-One Course” book at a local music store and immediately became overwhelmed. Determined to be successful, I surfed the internet and had the good fortune of coming across your “learn piano” website. Talk about “All-in-One”… Your website is very thorough with numerous tools to help you through the lessons. It also offers students an opportunity to share thoughts/questions with other students who are a source of encouragement and motivation.
I love your emails of encouragement and the fact that you are constantly updating your website and asking for ways to improve what is already fantastic.
I am in lesson 8, so I am anxious for you to provide a lesson plan for lessons 8 - 12. It is a good way for me to guage if I am on pace with where I should be with my lessons.
I can’t tell you how excited and proud I am of the fact that I am now reading music and playing the piano, and I have you to thank for that!
P.S… Due to my busy work schedule, I have been delinquent in your requests to provide feedback on your children’s piano progress. Let me say, they sound wonderful and their playing brings tears to my eyes. From one Mom to another… it is clear how proud you are of your children and you have every right to be… they are GEMS and an inspiration to all of your students!!! Keep up the good work kids!

Hi Lisa,
I am so glad I found your website. It really helped my daughter of 13 to learn to play the piano and read music. Very well explained and a real joy to use.
I am so proud when I hear her play.
Thank you so much for your brilliant website and support.

Lisa,
the lessons are written very well, so well, that I started teaching some to my 9 year old son. He had no problem to follow. We are at lesson 3. All the support material needed are there as well.
I recommened you to two of my friends the past 2 weeks. I wouldn’t do so, if I wouldn’t completely believe in them. Also I love the add ons you do…for example the Christmas Carols…It keeps “the wanting to learn more” interesting and enjoyable. Keep up the awesome work :-).

Hi i have been learning to play the piano for two and a half years, theory too.All my progress would not be possible without the internet and sites like yours Lisa.I can say from experience anything at all that get you at the piano practising whatever will get you there.I personally don,t waste too much time learning songs because i soon move on and forget them. However concentrating on scales of which there are many to keep me busy practising is my main focus as i prefer to play jazz..Remember the chord is just the scale.Aslo the circle of 5th/4ths is very essential to learn.Plus don,t worry keep moving on as everything will work itself out in an easier way later on.But practise is the key.Everything yields to practise.Get them fingers moving whenever you have a chance and the things will just snowball believe me you will get there in a big way sooner than you expect.

Hi Lisa,
Of course I would like to give a testimony about how I learned to play the piano like I am doing now. In my life this has been such a blessing that I only can see it as a gift from God to have found such a teacher like Lisa.
Lisa has been encouraging me to keep on practising this beautiful instrument. Her methods are very simple and effective. Everybody can learn how to play the piano, that is for sure.
I am always thankful to look back to the folder which Lisa has sent me first in 2005. That was the start of my piano playing.
Nowadays I am an advanced piano player able to play nearly all kind of music and even singing to it.
Soon I will post a video in you toube to show what I am talking about.
Lisa has been such a blessing to my life - God’s blessing!!!

Hello Lisa!
Thank you for the wonderful lessons. The ones I had a chance to try are awesome and please keep up the great work!
I can tell that you are a wonderful lady and I do know if support is needed, you are there even though I rarely contacted you. One can certainly tell how someone is (if they are truly honest), through words even though one does not personally know a person
I am so sorry for my absence. I intend on staying and will do my best to become active here. Day to day things are sometimes a royal struggle as we all know but I am learning to do what I want to do as well as deal with day to day things. One of the major things I’m learning to do is to put more into things I want to become active in such as posting here and keeping up with piano.
- I am sorry, I’m sure that you and everyone else here does not want to listen to me ramble, so I will stop here.
I look forward to more and I’m seriously considering purchasing a membership.
God Bless!
All the best and best wishes,
Danielle

Lisa…thank you, thank you, thank you! I can get lazy sometimes, and your promptings through emails get me back on track. My goal is to be able to open a hymnal and sight read anything. I am on that path, thanks to you. I have played by ear for many years without the benefit of reading music. Your course is the best I have seen.
August 27th, 2009 at 7:59 pm
Lisa,
I have thoroughly enjoyed the piano lessons online. I have been apprehansive about palying the piano for anyone even mysel, because I have not been able to find a piano lesson to teach what I needed to know. Thank you for being dedicated to helping people like myself pursue their long life dreams of being able to play the piano. If I never learn to play any better than I am right now, it’s my fault because I do not practice like I should due to time constraints. I am a Counselor, a student pursuing a Master’s Degree, and a Pastor. I want to learn to play for our church so we do not have to pay a musician. Thank you, you are awesome

Lisa,
Thank you so much for your constant emails. Your lessons have been a great inspiration for me as a piano learner. They are easy to understand and use. I wish to introduce my young daughter once she is of age as an inspiration. I only have one undoing on my part. I am a very very busy person………..which means I get very rare opportunities to practice due to my work schedule. I find myself just playing when I go to attend church service which is rarely sufficient. However, I have kept all the lessons with me because I am determined to continue doing them whenever chances appear and things slow down.
Continue the good work Lisa. I like your determination and wish would meet you one day. I come from Kenya.
All the best and thank you once again.

Thanks for sending the free lessons. I am teaching myself piano with another course. I expect it will take me another 6-12 months to complete the course I have purchased. When I have completed it I may want some further instructions in a specific area. That is why I am keeping in contact with sites like yours.

Hi Lisa,
Your lessons are very easy to understand and of course I have made visible progress using the course (I’m on the level 8 now and I’ve enjoyed all the levels). I have got help when needed and I definitely recommend it to a friend. I am really glad with your couse! Thank you Lisa for everything!

Hi Lisa,
I have been on vacation and my e.mail on my laptop was not sending and I did not have time to correct it.
I am so greatful for your lessons. It is so reasonably priced for what I have learned. I read music that you have given me up to lesson 12. When time allows I print blank music sheets and write the notes to the color coded songs that I received in the earlier lessons to play by. I am completely satisfied with your course. Learned so much and enjoy it everyday (just playing the songs you provided me). You are the best and so caring about your students. I sincerly wish there were more people who ran their business as you do.
Thank you so much for the enjoyment you have given to me and so many others.
Again, thank you, Bernie
PS. I have lots more to say when time permits

Definitely — 100% — recommended. I’m quite young with a fiery determination, so I actually got through the free lessons in two days, and I feel confident about my piano playing skills already.
Thank you so much!

Your lessons are definitely the easiest lessons that I’ve seen out on the web with clear and concise instructions. Anyone, regardless of age, can get started.

I enjoy very much your lessons. My mother is surprised to hear me playing sons with both hands so soon. Your tips and extra bonus encourage me to keep on practicing. I have share them with relatives and they love them. One of my dreams is to learn to play piano and these lessons are making it become true, also, are relaxing after a long day of work.

Thanks for your effort.

Hi Lisa,
Iam writting to reply to your e-mail.Iam still thanking God every day.He knows my heart desire to play the piano at his worship service, and directed me to fall in your hands.Your teaching tactics and your lessons are not only marvellous but they are wonderfully easy.I am now playing songs in our church and many who enjoy my songs always come to me with questions to know who has taught me.I must confess to you that even though I am still a student,I have always talked to more than one person about LISA each time I finish playing.
I can not imagine what a player I shall be after I shall have finished my lessons.
Many thanks indeed. God bless you, LISA.

Dear teacher,
I learnt a lot from the lessons. Thanks for every thing.
October 2nd, 2009 at 7:46 am
Hello Miss Lisa,
Learning how to play the piano step by step with you is really amazing, enjoyable and easy, though I’ve only gone through the first five lessons (not much huh!), but they were enough to teach me how to read and play simple piano sheets for songs I love like (Gomenasai/t.A.T.u.)though not for harder songs.. I couldn’t keep up for some reasons..
I have composed some melodies by myself.. I practice whenever I can.. I also try to play songs I know without getting their piano-sheets..
I love music and I write poetry… And by the way, English is my second language! You can see I have many hobbies and interests so it’s a little hard to keep fast progress with everything!
I hope I’ll be able to continue so that I could put music to my lyrics…
Thank you very much Miss Lisa, I’ll try to return soon…
God bless,
Julian

The first few FREE lessons were fine, and I thought everything else would be free… But LOL, it wasn’t -.- Its all money right?
You better not delete this because you say you want feedback!

Lisa, the FREE lessons are great! Never mind what Justin said; apparently he/she did not read the introductory material, after all, you have to make a living too, in addition to helping us out a bit, for FREE!
Will post feedback on the PAID course later. Keep on being encouraged, and helpful. Smile!

Hi Teacher,
I know it has been to long since we were in touch. Am really very sorry. But ever since i knew that to perfect in the piano one has to be with his own piano, i have struggled and am still struggling to acquire mine. This has in turn made me a little busy hence not to be in communication with you. Am sorry.
Am also very gratefull for your persistence to be in touch with me reguarding the lessons. Trying to know how am progressing ….
Thank you very much

Hello Lisa,
I just wanted to thank you so much for the free lessons. I learned more in the last hour it took me to go through all of them than I ever did trying to decipher the notes on my own. Being on disability, it will take me a while to save up the $ for the courses, but my search is over! Your website WILL be my Lesson site. Thanks again Lisa and see you soon…..

After playing the piano all of my life, I was interested in the online concept of teaching. I have taught for over 40 years and have made some tapes. You do an excellent job. Interesting!!!!

Hi Lisa,I like what I see of the new system. It will help people with pdf problems, not a problem for me but it makes for easier downloading. Will the 69 page list stay online long term so that people can build the free course at their own pace? As you may remember when I started I suffered from overload and pleaded with you to slow my email frequency. I look forward to further developments. Even though I am one of the slowest students I haven`t given up. Keep up the good work. Regards,Gerald.

Thank you very much for your wonderful lessons. I am not interested in learning to read music, only in fingering techniques, scales, etc. and your website has helped me tremendously. You obviously find great joy in music and that joy comes through in your teaching. Thank you!

I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am for these lessons. And there i thought reading music was hard, and that I could never learn piano but today I am able to read and play music. Thank you so much for your offering to teach piano. May God enlarge your territory as you continue teaching.

Hello Lisa Steeple,
I apologise for not having offer some feedback sooner.
I have to say your teaching methods are the easiest to follow, compared to any that I have encountered. My progress has been slow, but has mainly been due to my lack of resources. Thank you for having made my learning so enjoyable!

HI Lisa,
I am very thankful in the first place that I found your website.
I am enjoying all the bits and pieces of your free lessons and I am even sharing them with my 9 year old son who is having piano lessons.
At the moment I am very keen to learn how to play piano but I am always having difficulty finding time to practice and my budget does not allow me yet to get one of your paid lessons.
God Bless and more power!

I am the normal, lazy student who does not practice. My habits are shoddy to say the least but I must congradulate you on keeping my attention. I could not recommend any improvement for your site. I believe is is perfect for the average. I do really enjoy it when you include you family.

Dear Miss Lisa
Thank you for offering these amazing, easy to understand free lessons. I can practice whenever I have time or the energy without actually having to make an appointment with an expensive music teacher. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge, especially ‘free of charge’, with other piano enthusiasts, beginners who may otherwise never have realised that no matter what age you are, you can still comprehend and play a tune on that wonderful instrument.

HI Lisa,
I enjoy your site and offerings with great relish and find that I am not quite so ham fisted as I used to be.having recently started to learn piano, it gives a great lift to my daily routine. I am now well into my second childhood, currently my 8thDecade.

Hi Lisa - I have been wanting to write to you - thank you for making me do it!
I started learning the piano for the first time about 2 years ago - with the usual breaks - at the age of 61! Its something I always wanted to do. I check your tips and lessons regularly. I am reading sheet music well enough - am able to play from sheet music - and would really appreciate pointers on what I can do to enhance my playing. The lessons I see are seemingly for beginners - I go through them anyway to see if there is something I can benefit from - but a direct pointer will be helpful. I am particularly looking for help in enhancing chords with popular songs - (I like 60s music, predictably, and have the sheet music with chord placements. Is there anything you are offering on those lines? - will wait to hear from you - eagerly - mala
