Be very careful when examining the answer to this question when searching for a piano lesson program.
You see, there is no universal standard that says that you are at a certain level when you can play a certain skill.
I have seen programs that consider beginners someone who knows a little bit already, and other programs who consider beginners someone who knows nothing at all.
Likewise, I have seen programs that claim that you will become an advanced pianist, but the definition of advanced is not what you were expecting.
So, look for a specific description of what kind of piano playing activities you will be able to participate in when completing the course rather than what level you will be playing at.
For example, about 80 percent of all pianists play for pleasure, can play for church, jam with a band, enjoy playing at parties, can perform in a casual setting, play for a wedding, etc.
The remaining 20% are professionals such as piano teachers, concert pianists, wedding performers, live entertainment providers, etc.
